SFRR-International Biennial Meeting, Sendai, Japan 2027 - Call for Symposium Proposals and Award Nominations
Dear Colleagues,
The next SFRR-International (SFRRI) Biennial Meeting, organized in collaboration with and hosted by SFRR Asia, will be held in Sendai, Japan, from March 28 to 31, 2027. We are pleased to invite symposium proposals and award nominations.
1) Symposium Proposals
Please submit your symposium proposal using the designated template, available at:
https://www.sfrri2027.jp/contents/symposium_proposal.html
Proposals must be submitted via the same website by June 1, 2026.
Each proposal should include:
- A summary (maximum 300 words) describing the novelty of the symposium, its relevance and interest to SFRRI members, and potential sources of sponsorship.
- The names, full affiliations, and URLs of two Chairs, along with two established speakers and one early-career speaker, plus two reserve speakers (including affiliations and contact details). Chairs may also serve as speakers.
- Provisional lecture titles, abbreviated CVs for all speakers (maximum 300 words each), and up to five selected publications per speaker.
All proposals will be evaluated by the International Scientific Committee.
Following acceptance, the SFRRI Scientific Program Committee will select two short talks from submitted abstracts that align with the symposium topic.
Support for invited speakers and Chairs will include three nights of accommodation, registration, and access to social events, provided by SFRR Asia.
2) Award Nominations
Nominations for SFRRI awards can be submitted via the following website, where detailed guidelines are provided:

Deadline for receipt of nominations by submission system is 19 June 2026.
