Call for SFRR-Europe Travel Awards to attend 22nd SFRR-I Meeting in Galway, Ireland 2025

We are pleased to announce that travel awards will be available for students and postdocs to attend the 2025 biennial meeting of SFRR-I that will be organised by SFRR-E and held in Galway, Ireland, from 3 - 6 June 2025.
Society for Free Radical Research Europe (SFRR-E) Travel Awards
SFRR-E will provide Travel Awards of 400 Euros each for PhD students members of SFRR-E and postdoc members of SFRR-E, who are less than 5 years post-PhD (excluding career disruption) and not in permanent academic positions.
For the SFRR-E awards, previous SFRR-E Travel Grant awardees and SFRR-E Young Investigator Award recipients, who have been supported to attend the SFRR-E annual conference previously, are not eligible to apply for a SFRR-E travel award. You are eligible to apply for a SFRRI/OCC Travel Award, but eligible SFRR-E members cannot apply for both SFRRI/OCC and SFRR-E awards.
The number of travel awards for European PhD students, postdocs, and junior researchers will be decided after the evaluation process taking into account the scientific quality of the proposals.
The applications should be submitted online through the SFRR-E intranet https://intranet.sfrr-europe.org as a single PDF file containing a CV (max. 2 pages), which includes the date of PhD award, a supporting letter written by the applicant, outlining your interest and motivation for attending the conference, and an abstract for the communication to be presented during the conference.
As registered user of the SFRR-E intranet you will have access to submit your application when you login into the website https://intranet.sfrr-europe.org and select the option “Travel Awards for SFRR-E” in the menu on the left.
The deadline to receive submissions is 17th January 2025. The decision about awardees will be announced before the early-bird registration deadline and the corresponding funds will be transferred to the awardees soon after this announcement.
PLEASE NOTE: applicants MUST submit their abstracts online through the conference website before 10th February 2025, which is the deadline for abstract submission, and provide evidence of registration, to receive the travel funds.
