Call for Abstracts – 4th PhD Symposium
“Redox Relay Race: PhD Students on the Move”
We’re excited to announce the 4th edition of our PhD Symposium, a space for early-career researchers to share their work! This is your opportunity to bring your research to the wider redox community, exchange ideas, and connect with fellow researchers in a friendly and supportive environment.
When?
17th+18th November 2026 | Online | 15:00 CET.
Selected speakers will give a 5-minute flash talk, followed by 2 minutes of Q&A.
Who can apply?
All PhD students working in redox biology are welcome.
The first author must be a member of the SFRR-E.
How to apply?
Submit your abstract (maximum 300 words) via the SFRR-E intranet: https://intranet.sfrr-europe.org. Select “Call for PhD Symposium” from the menu on the left.
What should the abstract include?
• Your research topic and why it matters
• The big question you are addressing
• The methods you are using
• Your key findings or outcomes so far
Please note: Only abstracts submitted through the SFRR-E intranet will be considered.
Application deadline:
15 October 2026; selected speakers will be notified in early November.
Why take part?
This PhD Symposium offers a great opportunity to practice your scientific communication skills, gain experience presenting to an international audience, and receive feedback through the Q&A session, all while meeting researchers at a similar stage of their careers.
Finally, the best presentation will receive free registration for the SFRR-E Annual Meeting 2027 in Porto!
